Our weekend

This weekend was spent Spring Cleaning and working on our back yard. We've decided that rock/dirt/6 leafy trees is to much for the pool (and our house!) Bronco is a dust magnet and our floors have dust trails all through the house. 

The grandparents came over for a visit:

The Craft Room is on the top part of my long list of things to organize (read - PURGE) and so lots of fun stuff, tucked away for Lilly has been uncovered. And someone just can't help herself from sneaking into the room to see what has been unearthed.

I found this cute castle at Savers, and it has a ton of mini/micro fairy tale figures. I assume there are alot more that should have come with the castle, but for $3, I can't complain. I'm going to be doing some research to see if I can find out what this is, and if there are more figures I can procure for her castle. She played with it for over 2 hours!

This is my favorite "time" of the weekend. Lilly is a self-professed "momma's girl". There is no question about it and everyone on this earth would agree. Justin understands - he's so busy with work and school, then home improvements - he catches any chances he can with spending some time with his little bug.

Day 30/31:2012

Not the greatest way to end out the month of January! A sick house! We were so tired last night that everyone was in bed, asleep by 8:30. Today I'm staying home with Lilly - so we'll see if I can get to a 2nd post with perhaps a picture. Both of us are in non-picture taking moods. :-(

Day14: 2012

We had a fun day with the family. Pictures, visiting and lots of laughing.

Stephie and I took a ton of pics. Fun!!!

These were taken at the Scottsdale Borgada, while we were waiting for Steph to get her hair/make-up done.

 And the finished product! So pretty!!

I'll post some "after-photog" session pics soon - I can't post all my pics in 1 night! I got an entire year!!! :)

Day13:2012

Happy (??) Friday the 13th!

Lilly got a stellar review from her new dentist. Her loose tooth (knocked on the fireplace Thanksgiving Eve) is still loose, but xrays show her adult teeth look great. 

Tomorrow the Cottonwood fam is coming to the Valley for a photo shoot. While all my Grandma's kids are in the same state, we figured it would be an opportune time to take some pics. And Steph will get some Senior pics as well. I'll post some pics of the fun.

Sand for the swing set

Justin had fun moving 17 tons of sand from our driveway to the backyard.

Lilly loves playing in it (yeah!) and spreading it all over the yard (boo).

We are getting bids for landscaping the yard - we've decided to have someone other than ourselves to the work.

Justin took Lilly to the zoo this week for some daddy/daughter bonding. They had a great time. Justin learned what it means to pack once, check your packing twice. He got to the zoo w/no diapers and a little girl who needed that diaper changed NOW!!

From our family to yours - Happy Valentine's Day!

I love my cricut. I made the valentine picture with the First Year series. Frame is from Ikea.

This was the year for homemade valentines. Lilly made these fun Lilly-lollipops for her daycare buddies. I got the pattern from Skip to my Lou. I love her crafty ideas. A bit more embellishment (Lilly coloring and stickers on the flowers and leaves. They were a hit (how could a lollypop valentine NOT be a hit?!)

And a bit of Valentine spoiling herself!

And for my honey. Who hasn't seen these yet, but is sleeping till 3 - so there is no risk! Love the site they came from! My cutting skills have a lot to be desired!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Justin's birthday was Friday and we celebrated! A trip to the zoo, dinner with family and blowing out all the candles we had in the house (many times).

Check out Lilly's other 2 years spent with her daddy on his birthday - amazing how she has grown!

And the swing set is up!

Tricycle Toddler - watch out pedestrians!

Lilly went from only pedaling backwards and not steering (which led to very short tricycle rides) to a master tricycle toddler drag racer overnight!!! I couldn't believe it - and when Lilly demonstrated her mad trike skills to her dad this weekend - he was amazed (ok - maybe I'm exaggerating a bit - but not to much!) :-)

I almost have to jog to keep up with this kid! She loves to be outside - and the weather right now is perfect for long trips around the neighborhood!

We tried for snow.

So - we still haven't seen snow. Our attempt a few weeks ago came the same time Arizona got dumped on with rain and snow. So - we got as far as Sedona.

A few hours after these pictures were taken, the entire creek was flooded.

We had fun skipping rocks.

Since we couldn't make snowmen that weekend - we resorted to playdough men. They impressed Lilly just as well!

For the love of princesses!

Our house is full of fluffy skirts and Princess heels. Tiaras and jewelry are piled on.

And someone is perfecting her full twist-turn-around with the grace of a 2 year old. Introductions to the Disney classics has begun. And we are having a blast!
