Almost 3 years..... 3 years of being away from my blog - life ran away from me. But now I've got a bit of time - time to reflect, rejuvenate and re-calibrate what is most important to me in life. If you want to join me - hang on for a bumpy ride.
We joined a gym (and we should really go more than we do!) and it has an amazing rock wall climbing area. Lilly showed us she a little monkey!!! She loves going to the rock wall! She is much more brave when Justin is there - mommy is still trying to get the knack of scaling the walls!
Who puts on the best Christmas parade in the state of Arizona? That would be my auntie Coleen! She is in charge of the Cottonwood Christmas parade and every year we make the trek up north to watch it - it's a family tradition we really enjoy!
This year, we had a special visit from a jolly old man - hey - we have connections!
Lilly's Christmas Letter: She would like Monster High dolls because she likes them and likes to do their face paint. She also would like for her mom and dad to get a boat (thanks for asking sweetie!)
Some pics from old town, waiting for the parade to arrive!
Lilly met up with the big man! She was so excited!
And the BEST part - we took him inside (Coleen's office in Oldtown) and Lilly got some massive 1 on 1 time with him! He even brought her some special presents!
WOW - Santa is SUPER cool! Justin got the task of driving Santa back to his sleigh. Justin LOVED it! They drove with the windows down and everyone was honking and waving - it was great!
This last pic is of a mural in Old Town that I've taken Lilly's picture by before. I love it so much.
Lilly attended a Montessori school in 2012. It was a good transition out of preschool and before starting a traditional school. The environment was.....interesting - but she liked it - so it was right for her.
One exciting activity was the celebration of International Day. I must not have gotten the memo to dress up in your cultural clothing..... Lilly dressed up in a Monster High outfit - to the raised eyebrows of MANY (what, do we look like zombies and vampries!?!?!)
Of course, it was a super cute performance - the kids sang some great songs and Lilly's lungs were singing the loudest!
